Global Monetization, Application Security Engineer Graduate

Join ByteDance's Security BP team to secure Monetization business data through incident response, penetration testing, and cross-team collaboration. Your Role Key responsibilities include: Discover security issues under new threat scenarios and support incident response, forensics, and remediation in a cross-functional environment. Collaborate with security and product teams to design defense-in-depth controls to improve security posture. Continuously design and conduct penetration testing on infrastructure, systems, and applications in staging/production environments. Identify risks and take ownership to resolve potential security project issues. Conduct ongoing security research and strive for innovation. About You The company is looking for: Background in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or other STEM disciplines. Strong knowledge in web application security, mobile app security, cloud security, or thick client security. Experience writing and reviewing code in at least one of these languages: JavaScript (Node.js), Go, Python, Java, C++, Rust. Good project management skills and ability to work effectively in teams. Preferred: Experience in CTF competitions, live hacking events, CVEs (e.g., remote code execution), and BugBounty programs with reputable statistics on platforms like HackerOne or BugCrowd.
