Job Description Summary Job Description Set up and operate various machine tools, including electrical discharge machines, lathes, radial grinders, reciprocal grinders, milling machines, drilling machines, and specialized equipment to perform complex machining operations. These operations involve creating jigs, fixtures, tools, dies, gauges, test equipment, and product parts, as well as reworking or modifying them. Follow a specific product through the machine shop using different machine tools to complete the finished product. Use all types of standard and special gauges, as well as various hand tools. Maintain relevant records and work from blueprints, sketches, and instructions, whether written or verbal. Assist lower-rated machine operators in setting up and operating various machine tools and specialized equipment. Commit to following the GE code of conduct and uphold ethical standards as outlined in GE policies on key integrity issues, ensuring compliance in both spirit and letter. Adhere to all applicable EHS rules and regulations and fulfill personal EHS responsibilities. Ensure product quality, proper equipment care, meet production output and schedules, maintain housekeeping, and carry out other duties as assigned.
