Senior Equipment Engineer Role

This is a key position in our sputter equipment engineering team, responsible for designing and implementing upgrades to enhance ultra-high vacuum (UHV) sputter machines. The goal is to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), reduce downtime, optimize operations and process capabilities, lower indirect material costs, boost productivity, and ensure readiness for new product conversions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, upgrade, and maintain state-of-the-art sputter systems.
  • Lead and manage projects to ensure timely completion within stipulated schedules.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve both mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Generate comprehensive reports, including daily updates, issue logs, and Closed Loop Corrective Actions (CLCA).
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Software, Process, Launch, Maintenance, and Equipment Development Engineering.
  • Lead and mentor a team of junior engineers and technicians.
  • Drive continuous improvement projects to enhance system performance and refine working protocols.
