Direct message the job poster from Tardis Group Head of Singapore @Tardis Group | HR, Commercial Shipping Recruitment Our client, a leading dry bulk commodities trading company, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Trade Operations Executive to manage the end-to-end execution of coal trades across the Asia-Pacific region. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in dry bulk operations, a deep understanding of coal logistics and documentation, and the ability to coordinate effectively across chartering, finance, and counterparties to ensure smooth as well as compliant trade flow. Key Responsibilities Oversee the end-to-end physical execution of coal trades, from contract confirmation to final delivery. Manage shipping operations for both spot and term contracts including vessel nomination, laytime calculation, demurrage/dispatch handling, and voyage instructions. Prepare and review shipping and trade documentation, such as bills of lading, certificates of origin, quality/weight certificates, and commercial invoices. Handle Letters of Credit (LCs), shipping guarantees, and other trade finance documentation with banks and counterparties. Coordinate closely with chartering, trading, logistics, suppliers, and customers to ensure timely cargo readiness and vessel scheduling. Monitor shipment movements, cargo transshipments, and discharge operations to mitigate demurrage exposure and operational risk. Liaise with inspection agencies, terminals, and port authorities to ensure compliance with coal quality and safety standards. Maintain accurate trade data and voyage records in internal systems (IMOS, CTRM, or ERP platforms). Support post-fixture analysis and provide operational insights to traders for performance optimization. Ensure all trade execution activities comply with internal policies, HSEC standards, and international regulations. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Logistics, Business, or related field. Minimum 5–8 years of experience in dry bulk or coal trade operations. Strong working knowledge of charter parties, Incoterms, LCs, and shipping documentation. Experience managing coal logistics and vessel operations (handysize to capesize preferred). Excellent communication, coordination, and multitasking skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and operational/trading systems (IMOS, SAP, or similar). Strong analytical mindset, proactive attitude, and ability to work under pressure across multiple time zones.
