Overview The National University of Singapore invites applications for the position of Research Assistant in the Department of Computer Science, School of Computing (SoC). SoC is committed to research excellence in fundamental results, computational solutions, large-scale experimental systems, and improving well-being of society. The role is within Dr Bian Yatao’s research group, focusing on expanding AI capabilities in scientific intelligence and addressing key challenges in scientific research. Current research themes AI4SCI, with an emphasis on molecules and materials Modern Energy Based Models (EBMs)LLM/Agent for science AI Reliability and related safety issues About the Principal Investigator Dr. Bian provides a relaxed, supportive, and highly collaborative research environment. He has mentoring experience from supervising Master’s theses at ETH Zurich and internship projects at Tencent AI Lab. Former students/interns have secured fully funded positions at top-tier universities in Europe and the United States. Qualifications A strong background in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Applied Mathematics, Computational Science, or a related field. Solid programming foundation with proficiency in mainstream deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow. A strong sense of self-motivation and a genuine passion for research. Preference will be given to ACM/ICPC or NOI/IOI award winners.
