Responsibilities
Market research and deal sourcing:
Conduct research, analyze, and synthesize technology and innovation trends to identify investment opportunities. Build and leverage networks within the local and global innovation ecosystem to generate proprietary deal flows.
Due diligence:
Assess the commercial viability of targets, conduct due diligence, evaluate risk-reward scenarios, and consider strategic and financial factors. Structure investments, negotiate terms, and support the preparation of investment memos and presentations for the Investment Committee.
Portfolio management:
Manage portfolio companies by assessing corporate actions and strategy execution to enhance enterprise value. Collaborate with other teams to support business development, branding, and awareness initiatives.
Corporate strategy and processes:
Assist senior management in shaping overall corporate strategy and related processes.
Minimum Requirements
Degree in Science or Engineering; PhDs and postdocs are welcome.
At least 4 years of relevant investment experience, or
At least 8 years of research or work experience in deep tech sectors. Outstanding candidates without prior investment experience are encouraged to apply.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience presenting complex technical initiatives to senior leaders.
Ability to work independently and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills and Attributes
Experience working in ambiguous, rapidly scaling environments with high agency.
Knowledge of hardware and software design and development, especially for robotics and advanced hardware components.
Experience in bringing technology from prototype to market with an end-user focus.
Fluency in Mandarin.
