Quality Assurance Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the outstanding quality of products throughout the development process.

  • Evaluate product structure and design to meet safety and functional requirements
  • Review processes to ensure continuous improvement and drive cross-functional projects to optimize processes
  • Identify root causes and implement countermeasures using problem-solving tools
  • Develop test plans for high-complexity elements to ensure risk identification
  • Define test methods in the development stage and ensure suppliers conduct tests accordingly
  • Conduct production pilots at vendors' plants, evaluate, and qualify manufacturing processes
  • Take ownership of learning and developing professionalism by proactively improving areas of responsibility
  • Support supplier quality management, including supplier audits and customer claim handling
  • Identify visual quality according to LEGO Error definitions and VQG guidelines

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful as a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will need:

  • Proven working experience in quality development or design engineering in the plastic/injection molding industry with relevant education background
  • Strong quality mindset to ensure no compromise on quality
  • Expertise on plastic materials, molding, or related processes is preferred, and experience in the toy industry would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, SPC, and MSA is necessary
  • Supplier quality development and management experience in Thailand is preferred
  • Project management skills, good oral and written communication skills
  • Data science skills for performance analysis and risk indication
  • Fluency in English (reading, writing, speaking) is required; proficiency in Mandarin is a plus to work with stakeholders from China
