Sylvie Lian is a licensed Clinical Psychologist who obtained her Master of Clinical Psychology from the National University of Singapore and her MSc Psychology from the University of St Andrews, United Kingdom. She is registered with the Singapore Register of Psychologists and is a full member of the Singapore Psychological Society. She is also a full member of EMDRIA, the international association for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR), a gold standard treatment for trauma-related distress. At Bloom, Sylvie provides a range of psychological assessment and therapy services. She conducts assessments for Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, anxiety and mood disorders, as well as executive and cognitive functioning. These include, but are not limited to: Depression, Anxiety (e.g., Social Anxiety, Generalized Anxiety, Specific Phobias), Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, trauma-related difficulties, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, self-harm, perfectionism, adjustment issues, stress and burnout, as well as family and parenting difficulties. She also supports individuals who may not have a mental health diagnosis but are seeking meaning, direction, or a deeper sense of purpose in life. Sylvie draws on various therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). Sylvie takes a client-centred approach, tailoring her work to each individual's needs and goals. She is committed to creating a safe, respectful, and non-judgmental space where clients feel empowered to manage their challenges and thrive.
