Systems Analyst (Java)Employment Details Employment type: Contract Location: Novena HQ Working hours: 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM (Mon‐Fri) Working arrangement: Hybrid Qualification: Degree Responsibilities Gather and analyse user requirements and translate them into application specifications. Analyse, design, test, implement, and maintain application systems or web‐based applications. Ensure quality assurance and continuous improvement of systems. Requirements At least 5 years of experience in systems analysis, design (including database design), development, implementation, and quality assurance. Strong communication, project management, analytical, and problem‐solving skills. Ability to work independently gathering requirements from users and translating them into specifications. Project and vendor management skills. Experience in object‐oriented analysis and design. Proficiency in Java EE or Spring or equivalent. Proficiency in developing web‐based applications using UI frameworks such as Angular/AngularJS, JQuery, or Struts. Proficiency in developing applications using persistence frameworks such as Hibernate or JPA. Proficiency with relational databases like DB2, SQL Server, or Oracle. Proficiency in using testing tools. Experience with web servers such as Apache Web Server or Microsoft IIS. Preferred experience with COBOL, CICS, and DB2. Technologies Required Frameworks- Angular / AngularJS Apache Spark Hibernate Java Persistence API (JPA) Node.js Oracle Application Development Framework (ADF) PrimeFaces React Spring Framework (Batch, Boot, Web) Integrated Development Environments (IDEs)- Eclipse JDeveloper NetBeans Application Server- JBoss Application Server (now WildFly) Architectural Concepts and Tools- Messaging system (e.g., IBM MQ) Responsive Web Design Rules Engines Service Oriented Architecture WebLogic WebSphere Programming Languages- Java JavaScript HTML XML Datasources & Environments- Linux MS SQL Oracle Unix Windows Oracle Solaris Databases- DB2 MS SQL Oracle Web Service Architectures- REST SOAP Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted.
