General Job Description
The Security Analyst is responsible for supporting daily security operations, monitoring, and incident response. This position requires solid technical expertise and a strong understanding of information security principles, with hands-on experience in security tools and frameworks. The Security Analyst will work closely with internal teams to ensure compliance with security policies, enhance security monitoring, and manage threats. Additionally, the role involves support with data protection requirements, incident handling, and collaboration with technologies to maintain a strong security posture across the organization.
Responsibilities
Perform continuous security monitoring, log analysis, and incident response.
Assist in conducting vulnerability assessments, and security audits.
Ensure compliance with security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST CSF, and PCI-DSS.
Collaborate with IT, product and development teams to review security configurations, access controls, and risk assessments.
Assist in the implementation and enforcement of security policies and procedures.
Conduct third-party security assessments and vendor security reviews.
Ensure compliance with data protection and privacy regulations, supporting secure handling and processing of sensitive information.
Assist in reviewing SOC alerts and conducting security investigations to ensure timely response to potential threats.
Support security awareness training initiatives.
Keep up to date with emerging cybersecurity threats and trends.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Three to five years of experience in information security in the financial & banking industry.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Familiarity with security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, CIS, and PCI-DSS.
Security certifications such as CISM, CEH, or other relevant certifications are preferred.
