Overview Title: Tax & Legal Merger & Acquisition Senior Associate/Assistant Manager Location: Singapore, Singapore, SG Company: Deloitte Work you'll do: The successful candidate will work in a business tax team providing M&A and tax advisory services to a diverse mix of corporate clients spread across industries. Responsibilities will include undertaking research on local and international tax issues, advising on Singapore corporate and stamp duty matters, cross‑border restructurings, tax treaties, withholding tax matters, permanent establishment matters, M&A (due diligence, acquisition structuring, post‑acquisition restructurings) and drafting tax advisory memos. Your role as a leader Actively seek out developmental opportunities for growth, act as strong brand ambassadors for the firm as well as share knowledge and experience with others. Respect the needs of colleagues and build up cooperative relationships. Understand the goals of internal and external stakeholders to set personal priorities as well as align team work to achieve objectives. Constantly challenge themselves, collaborate with others to deliver on tasks and take accountability for results. Build productive relationships and communicate effectively in order to positively influence teams and other stakeholders. Offer insights based on a solid understanding of what makes Deloitte successful. Project integrity and confidence while motivating others through team collaboration and recognising individual strengths, differences, and contributions. Understand disruptive trends and promote potential opportunities for improvement. Qualifications and Education Requirements At least 3 to 5 years of Singapore corporate tax experience, preferably with an international accounting/law firm. Experience in an advisory role is preferred. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Law or other business‑related field, with a professional qualification recognised by ISCA. An SCTP accreditation would be an added advantage. Excellent communication, interpersonal and writing skills; passion to learn and deliver quality work. Ability to work under tight deadlines and with multiple team leaders. Due to volume of applications, we regret only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
