Job Title: Crisis Communication Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Crisis Communication Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating public relations activities to ensure effective communication with the public, stakeholders, and other relevant parties.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in public relations, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing crisis communication plans to minimize the impact of negative publicity and maintain a positive image of our organization;
  • Managing media inquiries and responding to press releases, statements, and other communications as needed;
  • Coordinating community outreach and engagement initiatives to build relationships with local residents, businesses, and other stakeholders;
  • Preparing and distributing regular updates on project progress and achievements to keep the public informed;
  • Providing support and guidance to project teams on public relations matters and ensuring that all communication materials are accurate and consistent;
  • Maintaining records of feedback, complaints, and suggestions received from the public and tracking responses to ensure resolution;
  • Performing site inspections and handling public concerns and issues promptly and professionally.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, or a related field;
  • At least 3 years of experience in public relations, preferably in the construction industry;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment and maintain confidentiality when necessary;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines;
  • Knowledge of civil construction industry practices and regulations is an added advantage.
