Infrastructure Engineer, National Cybersecurity R&D Lab (NCL) at National University of Singapore

Responsibilities
Deploy and maintain cloud-based computing system and network infrastructure.
Design, setup, configure and troubleshoot network systems.
Setup, configure, and troubleshoot server systems with different operating systems (Windows, Ubuntu).
Perform a regular backup of data and application systems.
Collaborate with vendors and providers for deployment and troubleshooting.
Provide technical support to end-users and other team members.
Analyze critical logs, investigate, and troubleshoot technical issues.
Implement and continuously update security patches for operating systems, servers and network devices to avoid security issues or attacks.
Ongoing assessment of new threats and improvements in computing security.
Develop and deploy monitoring systems for infrastructure.
Ensure high availability of services through regular server and network maintenance.
Participate in capacity planning, redundancy planning and execution of Disaster Recovery Plan.
Qualifications
Minimum three (3) years of relevant working experience.
Experience with virtualization technologies (VMWare, VirtualBox, KVM, etc.).
Experience in complex secured network design, VPN and WLAN implementation.
Knowledge of network administration (e.g., firewall, router, VLAN, switch).
Familiar with Windows and Linux OS (Ubuntu, CentOS, Redhat, etc.).
Able to configure secure Internet services with methods/protocols (e.g., SSH Tunneling, L2TP/IPsec).
Familiar with data storage systems (e.g., FreeNAS, LTO, NFS) and data backup operations on multiple file systems.
Problem-solving mindset and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Able to write automation scripts (e.g., Bash, Python, Ansible).
Experience in private and public cloud environments (e.g., vCenter, OpenStack, AWS).
CCNA (Routing and Switching) or equivalent certification.
Experience working with open-source projects.
Able to write simple code in Python or Java.
