COUNTRY GENERAL MANAGER | LIFE SCIENCES IT CONSULTANCY The General Manager is responsible for leading the organization’s Singapore entity, holding full business accountability for its performance and operations. As part of the broader leadership group, the role contributes to achieving the organization’s strategic objectives and financial targets. This includes defining direction, aligning with executive priorities, and ensuring that business outcomes support long-term goals. A core focus of the role is building and sustaining strong client relationships. The General Manager promotes the organization to potential clients, prepares proposals and agreements, and manages ongoing engagements to support business growth. The position also oversees market development activities, including managing national operations, taking responsibility for profit, revenue, cash flow, and meeting defined performance targets. Experience in the Life Sciences sector will be essential for success. The role drives commercial development by expanding both new and existing accounts through research-driven business development efforts. Responsibilities include monitoring the effectiveness of marketing programs, maintaining professional and technical knowledge, and providing regular updates on progress. Financial management is central to the position, involving the creation and implementation of annual budgets, accurate financial reporting, forecasting, and cost control. Human resource responsibilities include recruiting and managing staff, overseeing performance, and supporting training when necessary. The General Manager is also expected to build and maintain relationships with customers, government agencies, professional bodies, and employees while upholding ethical practices. The position requires a strong strategic impact, with output expected to influence business plans and contribute significantly to the organization’s overall results.
