Tiler Job Description

This is a role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work with various types of tiles. A successful candidate will be able to examine plans and measure surfaces accurately.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Surface Preparation : Prepare surfaces for tile fitting by levelling off with plaster, sand or cement.
  • Tile Selection : Pick suitable tiles for clients' needs and budgets.
  • Laying and Grouting : Lay and grout tiles evenly and cleanly.
  • Tile Cutting : Cut tiles to the correct size and shape.
  • Collaboration : Work with other tradespeople as part of a team.
  • Material Procurement : Order materials and parts necessary for the job.
  • Waterproofing : Apply waterproofing to surfaces when required.
  • Project Management : Consult with project managers and clients to ensure projects are completed on time and to budget.
  • Floor and Wall Decoration : Decorate and protect floors and walls using various types of tiles.
