About the Department UOB Private Bank is dedicated to managing the wealth of high-net-worth individuals. Keeping in mind our clients' financial objectives, we provide tailored products and solutions that draw on the Group's comprehensive suite of personal, business and investment services. The Private Bank Business Risk and Controls Management (PB BRCM) function sits with the PB Business as part of 1st line of defence, under the PB COO organization. PB BRCM actively drives and maintains oversight of the front to back activities and risk profile of the PB business, in close partnership with the business and supporting control functions. Job Responsibilities As a member of the Private Bank Business Risk Intelligence unit, this role will assist the Head of Private Bank BRCM in driving Business Risk Analytics & Intelligence capabilities within the 1st line of defence. Responsibilities include: Assist with preparing management reports (slides or dashboard). Coordinate and monitor BRI's various priorities, investigation cases and deliverables to ensure proper governance. Drive and implement Business risk analytics capabilities and strategic projects. Develop risk metrics and visualization solutions and dashboards. Work on innovation and automation initiatives by deploying analytics / AI. Lead or participate in thematic reviews and investigations in transaction anomalies. Develop specialized business risk expertise in certain risk taxonomies. Review and uplift assurance and surveillance testing procedures. Job Requirements At least 5 years of experience in financial institutions, preferably with a background in business risk, compliance, audit, or consulting: Proven experience in working with data for risk management and project management. Strong abilities in the use of tools for data analytics and visualization. Ability to drive thematic reviews and assessments of risk topics or special cases independently. Deep knowledge and experience in programming languages (Python, SQL, VBA). Possesses necessary communication skills and ability to work effectively with all levels within the organization. Understanding of the Private Bank business and risk taxonomies is advantageous. Undergraduate degree in a quantitative programme or a post-graduate degree in analytics or risk management is preferred. Self-motivated, independent, meticulous with an analytical mindset.
