Job Overview

The role of Baggage Coordinator requires exceptional organizational and communication skills to ensure seamless baggage handling at Changi Airport.

Key Responsibilities

  • Baggage Information Management: Update baggage information displays in real-time for accurate tracking and timely resolution of issues.
  • Troubleshooting and Coordination: Troubleshoot scheduling conflicts as they occur, coordinating with the engineering baggage control room for operational changes or challenges.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure arrival baggage presentation performance and mishandling rate meet or exceed KPI targets.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Maintain a clean and tidy baggage handling area by working collaboratively with other stakeholders.
  • Facility Management: Report facility issues to the relevant committee and conduct joint inspections with airside support officers.
  • VIP Flight Coordination: Coordinate closely with all baggage stakeholders for VIP flights and exception handling.
  • Incident Investigation: Investigate incidents on-site and enforce safety and security measures to maintain a secure environment.

Requirements

  • Education: A minimum NITEC qualification in a relevant field is required.
  • Physical Fitness: The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be physically fit is essential.
  • Airport Experience: Familiarity with airport safety and security protocols is advantageous.
  • Driving License: Possession of a Class 3 driving license is preferred for operating baggage trucks.
  • Shift Work: Willingness and ability to work on rotating shifts is necessary.
