Job Title:
Supply Chain Specialist
We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our procurement department, you will play a crucial role in sourcing and purchasing materials for company projects.
Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Supply Chain Management: Oversee daily operational purchasing needs such as planning, issuing and following up on Purchase Orders delivery and shipment schedules.
  • Vendor Relationship Management: Manage day-to-day Purchase Order administration and procurement activities including coordinating activities with suppliers, engineers, supervisors and liaise with all party involved in the project.
  • Sourcing and Purchasing: Sourcing and purchasing of materials and related products needed for company projects as well as prepare material catalogue for submission.
  • Negotiation and Contracting: Responsible to source, negotiate and purchase materials from both local and overseas vendors.
  • Quality Assurance: Evaluate vendor's quotation and liaise with project team to ensure that they are in line with the technical and commercial specifications for the project are met.
  • Purchasing Support: Advise internal and external on issues regarding purchasing Terms & Conditions.
  • Supply Chain Optimization: Resolve supply, quality, service and invoicing issues with vendors;
  • Supplier Performance Evaluation: Assist in ISO Annual Performance Review for vendors;
  • Contract Renewal: Evaluate supplier performance based on quality standards, delivery time and best prices to ensure all the criteria are met according to the organizational requirements and expectation;
  • Relationship Management: Management of existing supplier relationships and contracts and renegotiation of supplier contracts where required;
  • Continuous Improvement: Actively searching for alternative sources and solutions of supply;
  • Project Coordination: Working closely with Project Team members to ensure continuity of supply;
  • Procurement Strategies: Responsible for implementing internal procurement strategies to cater to high delivery and short lead time requirements;
  • Administrative Tasks: Handle office administration, ISO matters as and when required;
  • Other Duties: Other ad hoc duties as and when assigned by the superior or management.
