Job Title: Childcare Social Worker

This position involves providing quality care to children in need.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualised care plans for each child.
  • Schedule regular interactions with families, siblings, or other caregivers.
  • Conduct home visits to assess family needs and gather insights from community resources.
  • Collaborate with various partners to maintain and restore familial ties.
  • Identify community-based support resources and ensure appropriate planning for independent living.
  • Assist with transitional placement of children into alternative care options.
  • Make referrals and introductions to social service agencies for relevant services & programmes.
  • Provide quality care to the emotional, developmental, and mental needs of the children.
  • Offer counselling to children and initiate/coordinate support linkages with internal/in-house programmes or external agencies.
  • Provide counselling to family members to foster family bonds and restore relationships.
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare social reports as required.
  • Ensure case file documents and recordings are up-to-date.
  • Prepare and submit monthly statistical reports to relevant authorities.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Social Work / Psychology / Counselling.
  • At least 2 years of casework and counselling experience.
  • Good care management and counselling skills.
  • Certified in doing mandatory counselling cases will be an advantage.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Meticulous and a team player.
  • Possess a responsible and caring attitude.
