About the Role:
We are seeking a Resident Physician (SACH - Inpatient) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out daily clinical rounds, clinics or visits in assigned areas by reviewing patients' conditions and ordering treatment and investigations as required.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out daily clinical rounds, clinics or visits in assigned areas by reviewing patients' conditions and ordering treatment and investigations as required.
Attend to new admissions or referrals by reviewing patients' referral notes, taking a comprehensive history, performing physical examinations and interviewing family members as appropriate.
Carr
y out rounds with visiting consultants and consider/carry out their recommendations as appropriate.
Perform clinical procedures such as suturing, venepuncture, setting up IV lines and catheterization.
Participate in Patient Care Conference (multidisciplinary meetings) and contribute to multidisciplinary care and/or discharge planning of patients.
Attend to emergencies in assigned areas.
Do exit rounds (in-patient setting) and hand over to the doctor on-call.
Do 1st Line on-call (sleep-in) or stay-out calls as scheduled.
Cover duties of other doctors when on night duty and during their leave.
Keep abreast of developments in medical practices.
Participate and contribute towards teaching and training sessions.
Participate in research work under supervision of senior doctors.
Requirements:
- Possess a Medical Degree recognized by and fully registered with the Singapore Medical Council with relevant post-graduate training in disciplines such as Internal, Rehabilitation, Geriatric, Palliative and Family Medicine.
- Basic post-graduate medical degree acceptable as specialist qualification e.g Member of Royal College of Physician and Masters in Family Medicine.
- Possess 2 to 8 years of post-qualification experience.
