Establish and maintain internal controls as well as accounting policies and procedures that guarantee compliance with regulatory standards and uphold the highest levels of financial governance. Lead investor capital activity processes by managing fund flows and revolving credit facility administration while ensuring transparent communication with stakeholders. Drive continuous process improvements by implementing finance systems enhancements and automation initiatives that streamline workflows and increase efficiency. Support portfolio monitoring activities through detailed performance analysis and valuation processes that inform strategic business decisions. Collaborate closely with Real Estate Operating Companies (REOCs) on matters related to financial reporting, capital activity coordination, and operational finance support. Manage relationships with external advisors such as auditors and tax consultants while providing guidance to the internal finance team to achieve organisational objectives. Participate in ad-hoc projects and improvement initiatives that contribute to the overall advancement of the finance function within the organisation. Mentor, develop, and inspire a regional team of finance professionals by fostering an inclusive environment built on trust, knowledge sharing, and mutual respect. What you bring The ideal candidate for this Finance Director position brings extensive experience from private equity or real estate investment management environments where they have overseen multifaceted finance functions at a senior level. Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance or a related field complemented by a professional accounting certification such as CPA or ACCA (or equivalent), demonstrating your technical proficiency. 15-20 years of relevant experience within private equity or real estate investment management sectors—at least 8 years spent in senior finance leadership roles overseeing complex operations. Comprehensive understanding of international accounting standards (IFRS/US GAAP), financial controls frameworks, taxation principles across multiple jurisdictions. Proven track record in delivering timely financial reporting packages, managing budgeting processes efficiently, overseeing fund operations including capital activity administration. Exceptional leadership skills demonstrated through mentoring teams in multicultural environments while promoting knowledge sharing and inclusivity. Advanced analytical abilities enabling you to interpret complex data sets for performance analysis purposes; adept at supporting strategic planning initiatives through actionable insights. Outstanding stakeholder engagement skills allowing you to communicate effectively with senior leadership teams as well as external partners such as auditors or investors. Hands-on approach combined with meticulous attention to detail; comfortable operating within lean structures where adaptability is essential for success.
