Job Title: Speech and Language Therapist

Overview

The Speech and Language Therapist will be a key member of our school's Allied Professionals Department. This individual will work collaboratively with fellow therapists, teaching staff, and parents/caregivers to provide high-quality speech therapy intervention to students with Mild Intellectual Disability and Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess individual therapy needs of students using standardized tools and in-house assessment forms.
  • Develop and implement effective therapy programs for students.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Individual Transition Plans (ITPs).
  • Provide one-to-one, group, or class-based therapy sessions as needed.
  • Evaluate and document student progress regularly.
  • Consult with relevant staff members and caregivers to ensure seamless communication.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Speech and Language Pathology.
  • Registered Speech Therapist with Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC).
  • Previous experience working in schools.
  • Passion for working with children, youths, and their families.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
