UFM Engineer

UFM Engineer (WDA) 2 year-contract Apply for the UFM Engineer (WDA) 2 year-contract role at MSD . What You Will Do Support Utilities and Facilities day‐to‐day maintenance activities at Singapore manufacturing sites, identifying and executing improvements to routine work. Assist in Electrical/Instrument/Mechanical/Utilities/Process engineering and troubleshooting support to increase operational efficiencies and minimise maintenance expenses. Supervise maintenance technicians to support unit operations and/or run the utilities plant. Provide standby support for any emergency repair after office hours, weekends and public holidays. Assist with calibration of instruments, selection and installation of utilities and related automation systems. Improve preventive maintenance (PM) and predictive maintenance (PdM) plans and procedures. Support MRO spares creation and optimisation programmes. Assist in installation, modification, fabrication, testing, servicing and repair of equipment, adhering to site change‐control procedures. Oversee testing, commissioning and qualification (IQ, OQ) activities in compliance with site qualification procedures. Support deviation management processes and investigations related to utilities and facilities. Manage maintenance‐related project schedules, costs and quality, applying proper controls and establishing SHE objectives. Conduct improvement studies to enhance equipment or system efficiency, reduce energy consumption and implement cost‐saving/avoidance projects. Support utilities‐related automation systems change‐impact assessment and implementation. Supervise and oversee third‐party contractors, acting as contractor liaison and managing qualification processes. Participate in SHE, Business Compliance, cGMP and other compliance‐related matters where applicable. Carry out job assignments by Supervisor pertaining to equipment, systems or documentation or housekeeping. Perform any other tasks assigned by the Supervisor. What You Must Have Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent. Experience Preferably 2–3 years of relevant technical experience in the manufacturing industry, including utilities and facilities equipment operation, reliability and maintenance planning. Project management skills: problem‐solving, developing and implementing technical solutions, planning and scheduling, and working with multi‐functional teams. Experience with continuous improvement, Lean Six Sigma methodology and application of Lean tools is an advantage. Functional Competencies Demonstrated utilities operation and project management skills to execute small maintenance projects, completing projects within budget, schedule and quality requirements. Knowledge of applicable regulations and divisional policies/guidelines, especially equipment design, qualification, preventive maintenance and calibration. Awareness of engineering and compliance standards through assigned tasks and training. Practical application of theoretical engineering knowledge.
