GC Testing Technician Job Description

Our client is seeking a skilled GC testing technician to join their team. As a GC testing technician, you will be responsible for setting up gas chromatography instruments, blending sample gases, and troubleshooting equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setup Gas Chromatography (GC) equipment to test stations.
  • Blend sample gases for runout tests.
  • Troubleshoot GC equipment if necessary.
  • Complete GC final checklist and push GC to repacking areas.
  • Operate GC using workstation software.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Essential Skills:

  • Minimum 'O' level or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering.
  • Good safety awareness for working in laboratory or petrochemical environments.
  • Effective communication skills for working with teams and supervisors.
  • Basic computer skills for operating Windows systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Desirable Skills:

  • Technical documentation experience.
  • Troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems.
  • Experience with Windows and Excel applications.
  • Understanding of petrochemical processes and laboratory procedures.
