Job Responsibilities Lead all aspects of procurement activities, ensuring detailed execution and adherence to company objectives. Advise the activities of buyers and expediters, providing clear mentorship and support to achieve elite performance. Review and approve purchases within specified limits, maintaining strict compliance with company policies. Negotiate major contracts involving large dollar amounts, applying your expertise to secure advantageous terms. Develop and put into action strong policies and procedures for procurement operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness. Monitor and track cost, schedule, and performance of major subcontracts, ensuring alignment with Micron's business strategy. Coordinate purchasing activities with engineering and manufacturing departments to meet site-specific and company-wide goals. Assist with the establishment and maintenance of production, negotiation, and performance tracking control systems. Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the procurement function. Job Requirements Validated experience in leading procurement teams, with a proven track record of success. Outstanding communication skills, with the capacity to clearly convey and uphold procurement strategies. Expertise in cost of ownership and business award processes. Strong analytical skills with the capability to observe and boost performance metrics. Ability to formulate and apply business processes that promote efficiency and quality.
