Workshop Supervisor (Engineering) Location: Tuas (Company Transport / Transport Allowance if candidate travel to work by themselves) Working hours: Monday to Friday (8am - 5pm), Saturday (8am - 12pm) Basic: $3000 to $3400 + Entitled to OT Minimum Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Welding, Fabrication technology, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in industrial metal work, including supervisory experience. Able to read and interpret technical drawings, fabrication standards, and welding procedures. Familiar with common tools: MIG/TIG/Stick welding, grinder, gas cutter, plasma cutter, slip roller & etc. Safety knowledge of hot work and workshop safety regulations. No Charges will be incurred by Candidates for any service rendered.WA ME for more Workshop Supervisor roleResponsibilities: Lead day-to-day operations in the workshop, including cutting, welding, griding, drilling and repairs. Interpret engineering drawings and translate them into clear work instructions for the team. Allocate manpower and monitor job progress to meet schedule and quality expectations. Ensure fabrication work aligns with structural integrity, tolerances and requirements. Inspect completed jobs for workmanship, dimensional accuracy and welding quality. Support root cause analysis of failed or defective components and propose design/fabrication improvements. Ensure availability of materials, tools and consumables required for jobs. Monitor usage of welding rods, gas cylinders, grinding discs and consumables to control costs. Supervisor technicians and provide on job coaching, identify training needs and skills gaps; propose development plans for the team.
