Job Title: Drone Technical Specialist

Job Summary:

The Drone Technical Specialist is a pivotal position responsible for the setup, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and testing of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). As a key member of our team, you will be involved in various tasks that require technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Development and Implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Integration of drones hardware systems
  • Perform equipment/engineering systems setup
  • Perform testing/calibration of components and systems
  • Perform maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of drones
  • Applying relevant electrical skills in preparation of components
  • Assist in trial support
  • Configure and test drone hardware (e.g., sensors, payloads, cameras) prior to deployment
  • Troubleshoot hardware/software issues and ensure drone systems meet operational standards
  • Any other duties as assigned from supervisor from time to time

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering
  • 0 to 2+ years of hands-on experience with drones/UAV systems
  • Ability to interpret technical diagrams, manuals, and schematics
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to travel and work in field environments

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of drone platforms such as DJI, Parrot, senseFly, or custom builds would be advantageous
  • Familiarity with flight planning software (e.g., DroneDeploy, Pix4D, Litchi, QGroundControl) would be advantageous
