In this role that you are about to embark on, you are required to carry out the following responsibilities: • Provide individualized instruction to each student by promoting interactive learning. • Create and distribute educational content (notes, summaries, assignments etc.). • Assess and record students’ progress and provide grades and feedback. • Maintain a tidy and orderly classroom. • Collaborate with other teachers, parents and stakeholders and participate in regular meetings. • Plan and execute educational in-class and outdoor activities and events. • Observe and understand students’ behavior and psyche and report suspicions of neglect, abuse etc.. • Develop and enrich professional skills and knowledge by attending seminars, conferences etc. To be successful in this role, it is recommended that you should have the following skills and qualifications: 1. University degree preferred. 2. Hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education-Teaching (DECCE-T) and the Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education Leadership (DECCE-L) or its equivalent (ECE Diploma). 3. Minimum 5 years of experience working in a play-based early childhood center. Experience in infant care preferred. Experience with senior populations would be an asset. 4. Facility in both English and Mandarin teaching (knowledge of Bahasa Indonesian would be an asset). 5. Be a strong advocate for children’s rights and possess strong interpersonal skills which will convey the importance of multi-generational living to parents and stakeholders. 6.
