Our client is an established fintech group embarking on an exciting new venture to build a regulated wealth platform business. We're seeking an experienced leader to spearhead this strategic initiative and shape the future of digital wealth management in Asia.
Role Overview
The Head of New Business (Wealth Platform) will be responsible for building and scaling the new wealth platform business from the ground up. This key leadership position will play a pivotal role in establishing their presence in the digital wealth management space, developing their product strategy, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the conceptualization, development, and launch of our regulated wealth platform business
Define and execute the business strategy, including product roadmap, go-to-market approach, and growth initiatives
Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including regulators, partners, and clients
Develop and oversee the implementation of robust compliance frameworks aligned with Singapore's regulatory requirements
Identify market opportunities and drive innovation in digital wealth management products and services
Build and lead high-performing teams across various functions including product, operations, and compliance
Collaborate with the board and founders to align the wealth platform strategy with overall group objectives
Drive business development efforts and establish strategic partnerships to accelerate growth
Oversee the platform's P&L and ensure sustainable business growth
Required Qualifications
Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in retail brokerage or digital wealth management
Deep understanding of Singapore's financial regulatory landscape and licensing requirements
Proven track record in building and scaling financial services businesses
Strong knowledge of wealth management products, business models, and market dynamics
Experience in working with regulators and managing regulatory relationships
Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects and drive business transformation
Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking capabilities
Experience in building and managing high-performing teams
Excellence in stakeholder management and communication
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in both traditional finance and fintech environments
Track record of successful product launches in the wealth management space
Strong network within the Singapore financial services ecosystem
Previous experience in a regulated entity
Advanced degree in Business, Finance, or related field
