OTC Brokers / Senior OTC Brokers (FFA, Oils, and Iron Ore)

Headquartered in Singapore with presence in the United States and Indonesia, Straits Financial serves as the financial services arm of the CWT Group, a global leader in integrated logistics and financial services. We provide fully integrated services for our clients to access financial and commodity derivative markets and plan to expand further into key markets. Straits Financial has a strong presence and understanding of global markets, providing our staff with valuable international experience.

We are hiring OTC brokers for FFA, Oils, and Iron Ore desks. The position reports to the Head of Broking and works closely with the team lead of the respective desk (FFA, Oils, or Iron Ore).

Key Responsibilities

  • Buy and sell orders on behalf of clients
  • Monitor international market performance
  • Provide investment advice and market recommendations to customers
  • Develop and manage customer relationships at individual and team levels

Requirements

Candidates should possess the following:

  • At least a Polytechnic Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Business, Banking & Finance, or equivalent, with a minimum of 3 years of experience. At least 1 year of experience in broking, marketing, and pricing of commodity derivatives within a global commodity brokerage or financial institution is preferred.
  • Ideally licensed to trade futures/securities in Singapore (pass in CMFAS modules 2A and 6A).
  • Excellent customer relationship management skills, including sourcing new clients and maintaining existing clientele
  • Keen to learn, self-motivated, and a good team player
  • Goal-oriented
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Fluency in Mandarin, as the role involves dealings with Chinese-speaking clients
  • Team player, willing to work long hours, energetic
  • Entry-level applicants are welcome as training will be provided
