Job Summary
The role is for an Intermediate Java Cloud Developer to contribute to building large, distributed, cloud-native applications as part of a migration from an on-premises cluster to a cloud-native platform (CARMA). The position requires strong core Java skills, familiarity with cloud technologies (especially Docker/Kubernetes and AWS), and an ability to work in a collaborative, international environment with high communication standards.
Mandatory Skill-set
Minimum 4 years of software development experience;
Minimum 3 years working with Java;
Understanding of recent Java features (lambdas, streams, futures);
Must have strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and complexity analysis;
Ability to analyze code and debug without a debugger;
Must have experience with Maven, Git, and integration testing;
Familiarity with Linux and bash;
Good knowledge of SQL;
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
Desired Skill-set
Experience with Docker/Kubernetes;
Experience with cloud providers, especially AWS;
Use of Git portals like GitLab or GitHub;
Experience with Jira or similar issue tracking tools;
Familiarity with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and Swagger for RESTful APIs;
Experience with Apache Spark;
Knowledge of C#, Go, or C++;
Understanding of finance/financial markets, especially counterparty risk systems.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain Java applications for a cloud-native distributed system;
Collaborate on the migration from on-premises infrastructure to cloud (CARMA);
Write, maintain, and debug high-quality code;
Implement integration tests and ensure code quality;
Work with cloud-related tools (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS) for deployment and operations support;
Collaborate with cross-functional teams globally, ensuring clear and effective technical communication;
Participate in analyzing execution flows and troubleshooting complex issues.
