Senior Installation Engineer (Ref.No. R ) – Hitachi Rail, Singapore (On-Site)
Join to apply for the Senior Installation Engineer role at Hitachi Rail. This role focuses on installation engineering activities for rail projects, ensuring compliance with Hitachi Rail policies and local regulations, and providing technical support and coordination with project stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Ensure production on Installation engineering activities in line with Project strategy.
Able to manage teams assuring to reach project targets (delivery, quality of works, budget).
Ensure application of Hitachi Rail Strategy, Policies and Technical Standards (including local regulations and professional standards).
Ensure application of HSE policy and standards to installation works.
Manage their own environment at a remote location in terms of cleanliness, organization, workload, risk assessments.
Upon completion of any work on site, complete and submit to the Installation Manager and local business unit all relevant reports, backups and signed documentation.
When not on site, assist the Engineering department, either remotely or in the office, with technical advice and support or to complete other tasks as directed by the Installation Manager.
Provide effective, efficient technical support assistance and service to customers in a professional and courteous manner via inbound calling, online chat, support portals, and ticketing.
Report on the progress of the delivery of the document to be provided as per schedule, as requested by the Installation Manager.
Support the Installation Manager for review of the Installation Engineering activities, including risk identification and mitigation proposal.
Interface with other Project stakeholders – internal or external - for getting needed data, for delivering the Installation Engineering documentation / drawings.
Identify and report issues on documents and drawings delivered.
Prepare and execute Installation Engineering activities (Site survey, review drawings, ...) in support of one or several Projects in conformance with Hitachi Rail policies and standards, applicable regulations and technical standards (including local regulations, professional standards).
Coordinate and implement customer installation activities in a time sensitive manner.
Qualifications
4 to 6 years of experience in site installation engineering for complex projects in Railways, metro, transportation fields.
Bachelor's degree/ Diploma in Telecommunication engineering, Electronic engineering, Computer science, Electrical engineering, Civil/mechanical engineering.
Experience with CAD - Checking of design engineer's calculations and drawings.
Work according to the time work schedule and ensure deadlines are set and met.
On-site work; main work will be on site – 6 days in the week.
Excellent command of the English language (read, written, spoken).
Willing to work in night shifts and on-call duty.
Positive work attitude, good planning and organization skills.
