Overview
We are looking for a
Robotics Software Engineer – Manipulation & Vision
to work closely with our
Senior Software Engineer
on developing and refining the robot’s manipulation system. This role offers hands-on exposure to robotic arms, computer vision, and safety-critical robot control, with the opportunity to grow into a senior position.
Responsibilities
Implement and extend
manipulation pipelines
using ROS 2, MoveIt, and C++.
Assist in developing
vision-guided manipulation
(object detection, pose estimation).
Contribute to
path planning optimization
for collision-free motions in tight spaces.
Support integration of
force-torque sensing
and compliant motion strategies.
Implement and maintain
behavior tree workflows
for manipulation tasks (e.g., tool pick-and-place, cleaning cycles).
Help develop
drivers and interfaces
for actuators and end-effectors (pumps, nozzles, grippers).
Work with embedded systems engineers to integrate
real-time feedback loops
from sensors and microcontrollers.
Participate in
field testing and debugging , improving manipulation robustness in real environments.
Requirements
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechatronics, or related field.
2–4 years of experience in
robotics software development
(internship/project experience considered).
Proficiency with
ROS/ROS 2
and
C++ .
Understanding of
motion planning
and kinematics (MoveIt familiarity is a plus).
Exposure to
computer vision
(OpenCV, PyTorch, YOLO or similar).
Familiarity with
robotic arms
and
end-effector tools .
Strong debugging skills across hardware/software integration.
Comfortable working in a
fast-paced startup environment
and with real robots.
Bonus Skills
Hands-on experience with
7-DoF arms
(UR, Kinova, Franka, etc.).
Knowledge of
force control/compliant manipulation .
Experience with
behavior trees
for robotics.
Prior exposure to
industrial or field deployment robotics .
