OVERVIEW OF JOB
This is a very high profile & senior position within Group M, where you'll have responsibility for running a portfolio of high-profile multinational brands with services scope focused on innovation, communications planning and media campaign implementation management, by leveraging your insights, analytics and strategy skill set.
You will lead the client relationship while also being responsible for maintaining the quality of contracted services, lobbying additional assignments as well as developing appetite for and building revenues from out-of-scope offerings and value add services. As well as driving top-level client scores and advocacy across markets, you’ll be aligning market teams on the global tools suites, driving test/learn digital innovations and apply analytics in a consistent fashion to steer investment decisions.
As the Regional Client Leader on this major account, you will be tasked with meeting KPI’s, driving adaptive marketing initiatives, the allocation of resources, process and systems, across the portfolio.

As the Regional Client Leader, you will be empowered to drive the business in terms of revenue and agreed KPI’s with a fair bit of autonomy.
This account is at the cusp of change – the ability to set and create process/framework and shape the strategic media direction is very high.
Independent senior stakeholder engagement & broader contribution to Group M.
Being the Client Leader on one of Group M’s most interesting and change-ready accounts, you will be the trusted advisor not just to the client at an exciting time, but for internal (regional/global) touch-points on the local market. Good performance on this account will further strengthen Group M’s overall global relationship with this client.
MEASURES OF SUCCESS
3 months:To become completely familiar with the client’s organizational structure, planning process, marketing calendar and the needs of key stakeholders. To arrive at top of mind understanding of the business – it’s challenges, and KPIs.
6 months:Have built a complete understanding of the markets, and have guided representation on quarterly reviews and agreed priorities.
12 months:Full grasp of the business relationship, independent representation on quarterly reviews and delivery of KPIs.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE
Entrenching senior client relationships that position Group M as a principal business partner of the client/s. Be unafraid to push back, be audacious and stand your ground in terms of ideas.
Build client satisfaction by soliciting feedback and operating like a consultant.
Acts as a client visionary by bringing a highly valued perspective to the client based on a deep understanding of their business, issues and opportunities.
Overall strategic approach on the account/s designed and delivered to meet Client’s business objectives and strategies. Oversees the implementation of the annual planning in conjunction with the client team.
Generates and communicates a shared goal and unifies a team in the pursuit of a common objective.
Drive VAS revenues, profitably.
Always operate with a talent and growth mindset.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
Minimum 12-15 years’ work experience in business consultancy, market research/analytics or a strategic planning role, of which at least 2-4 years will have been spent in a regional role.
Individual should have a mix of local media + regional media management experience.
Comfortable with or have had exposure to application of analytics and demonstrate “no line thinking” i.e. strong track record on integrated work.
Individual will need to build and nurture a close working relationship with local markets (internal & client).
Strongly strategic approach – this is not an execution/operational role.
