Position Summary:
Lumileds is seeking a highly-qualified Staff or Senior Equipment Engineer to take responsibility for Operations Engineering under the Lithography and WET Engineering Module.
What You Will Do
Equipment owner of WET and Plating modules (Nexx Plating, WET bench, SSEC, D-Sonic/HPS, DRYER, WTJ, SEMSYSCO, SRD, OVEN, SCOPE, Thickness Tools).
Attend equipment-related issues in the production line and coordinate resolution with process engineers and shift teams.
Collaborate with process engineers to improve yield, quality, and reduce process-induced defects.
Ensure machine uptime, MTBF, and MTTR targets are met; perform repairs and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
Identify equipment failures, create Pareto analyses, and conduct weak-point analyses for continuous improvement.
Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to reduce total cost of ownership of equipment.
Establish and maintain equipment controls, including corrective and preventive maintenance procedures.
Lead and execute improvement projects to reduce equipment ownership costs and enhance performance.
Oversee new equipment purchases, installation, and buy-off.
Develop and monitor operating budgets related to equipment.
Develop and deliver effective equipment training programs for maintenance staff and technicians.
Mitigate capacity and capability bottlenecks and ensure compliance with 5S and safety regulations.
Comply with environment, security, and health and safety requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Engineering Manager.
What You Will Bring (Required Qualifications):
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field of Equipment Engineering with a minimum of 7 years working on WET, SSEC, and Plating tools. Diploma holders with relevant experience who can demonstrate the right skills are welcome to apply.
Experience leading technicians and engineers in an equipment maintenance program is an advantage.
Knowledge of semiconductor/wet and plating process flows.
Experience structuring maintenance operations, especially preventive maintenance systems and/or TPM.
Hands-on experience in equipment maintenance or troubleshooting.
Self-driven, strong team player with technical ability, systematic approach, detail-oriented mindset, and problem-solving skills.
Good interpersonal and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently, be hands-on, and dive into technical details as required.
Additional experience in Lithography equipment is an advantage.
