We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Team Lead to join our team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our trains, depot, and workshop equipment.

About the Role

The Maintenance Team Lead will be responsible for leading a team to perform preventive, corrective, overhaul, and engineering support tasks to provide a safe and reliable journey for commuters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Training and Development : Provide training and support to staff on maintenance activities, ensuring they possess the necessary knowledge and skills.
  • Team Leadership : Lead a team to perform various maintenance tasks, including troubleshooting, engineering analysis, and investigation.
  • Resource Optimization : Assist in planning and coordinating staff deployment and shift rosters to optimize resource utilization.
  • Safety and Quality : Verify that all tasks are conducted according to the latest work instructions, quality, maintenance, operational, and safety procedures, prioritizing personal and peers' safety.
  • Equipment Management : Ensure that spares, tools, and equipment used are in good condition and calibrated if necessary.
  • Operational Support : Perform train shunting activities and operate depot equipment, maintenance vehicles, and maintenance equipment to support maintenance tasks.
  • Documentation : Update work records accurately and timely on Work Records Form and the Maintenance Management System.
  • Quality Improvement : Report any abnormalities or practices observed that do not comply with work instructions, quality, maintenance, operational, and safety procedures.
  • KAIZEN Implementation : Implement KAIZEN methodology (5M, 5S & 5W) to eliminate waste and improve productivity and value.
  • Support and Emergency Response : Provide support to staff, contractors, or other personnel required to perform work on depot and rolling stocks. Support the group during incidents, accidents, and emergencies.
  • Cleanliness and Discipline : Maintain excellent housekeeping within all work areas.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Technology/Engineering from a recognized institution.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the railway environment.
