Job Title: Drafter

The primary function of a drafter is to create detailed drawings and designs for various projects, utilizing specialized software such as BIM. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand and handle drafting assignments with minimal supervision.
    Drafter will be responsible for managing their workload, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines without significant oversight.
  • Prepare Architectural, Structural & M&E Shop drawings and with BIM skills.
    Utilizing BIM software, the drafter will create accurate and detailed shop drawings for architectural, structural, and mechanical & electrical components.
  • Prepare Architectural, Structural & M&E Shop drawings status reports.
    Regularly update project stakeholders on the status of shop drawings, highlighting progress, and addressing any issues or concerns.
  • Coordinate with sub-contractors for execution of shop drawings.
    Communicate effectively with subcontractors to ensure smooth execution of shop drawings, resolving any discrepancies or conflicts that may arise.
  • Conduct site / safety inspection & supervision if necessary.
    Perform site inspections to verify compliance with project specifications, identifying potential risks, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Prepare weekly / monthly quality inspection reports and status.
    Maintain a record of quality inspections, providing regular updates on project performance, and highlighting areas for improvement.
  • Carry out and fulfill relevant tasks assigned by senior peers and leaders.
    Assist senior colleagues in completing tasks, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced work environment.
