SMMIS is hiring a part-time School Counsellor for
1 day per week
.
Main Responsibilities:
Providing a high-quality counselling service to students experience a wide range of emotional issues.
Providing support, guidance and advice to parents, carers and the school.
Contributing to the safeguarding and promotion of the welfare and personal care of children and young people.
Responsible for the confidential counselling services to students as needed.
Promote a caring and supportive environment where such concerns may be explored.
Liaise with school staff and other professionals as appropriate to ensure the effective operation of the counselling service.
Maintain appropriate records and to keep these secure.
Maintain a high level of knowledge and awareness of the changes and developments in the fields of counselling and education.
Arrange and deliver relevant training for staff as and when needs are identified.
Job requirements:
Graduate qualification in counselling, counselling psychology or clinical psychology.
Preferably a registered counsellor with the Singapore Association for Counselling (SAC) or a registered psychologist with the Singapore Psychological Society (SPS).
At least 5 years or more of professional counselling experience.
Experience of working in the International School system in Singapore would be an advantage.
