What You Will Do
Support 12-hour rotating day shift (8am-8pm), including weekends and public holidays.
Execute testing and/or review tasks such as routine environmental, water, raw material and product testing (e.g., bioburden, endotoxin, qPCR, microbial ID); media, reagent and culture qualification (e.g., growth promotion, DNA positive controls, microorganism culture types).
Sample management: logging, movement and storage, reconciliation of sample receipt, aliquoting, stability management, and shipment to Amgen network sites and/or contract labs.
Involvement in document revisions and report writing.
Involvement in equipment installation, commissioning and qualification, calibration and maintenance.
Involvement in method transfers, method validation/verification and sample type qualification.
Laboratory housekeeping and document archival.
Project management and involvement in QC projects (e.g., Continuous Improvement / Operational Excellence).

Qualifications
What we expect of you
Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biological Sciences, Life Sciences or related technological field with 2 years of related experience OR
Associate’s Degree in Microbiology, Biological Sciences, Life Sciences or related technological field with 4 years of related experience OR
High School Diploma / GED in Microbiology, Biological Sciences, Life Sciences or related field with 6 years of related experience
1-3 years of relevant professional experience in the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry; production and testing experience preferred.
Knowledge of GMP pharmaceutical production, plant operation and testing methods.
Experience with Quality Control testing and laboratory operations for microbial methods and equipment (e.g., bioburden, endotoxin, microbial identification, environmental monitoring, microbial limits, growth promotion, biological indicators).
GMP laboratory operation including sample management and testing.
Good communication skills (technical writing and verbal/presentation).
Ability to interact with diverse teams and work well in a collaborative environment.
Ability to manage multiple activities in a fast-changing environment.
Problem-solving skills with ability to assess data and make decisions related to assay suitability and comparability.
