Role Summary

We are hiring an Associate Strategy Director to join the OMD Singapore Communications Strategy Community, responsible for bringing high level strategic thinking, communications development, analytics and audience planning to the business.

You will tasked with leading strategy for a set client patch, with the support of a Strategy Manager. You will bring strategic leadership to the clients - working closely with business leads to identify opportunities and translate them into a smart communications approach and sell.

You should be an independent thinker with the confidence to develop industry-leading strategies that challenge conventional thinking. You should be confident voicing opinions with senior business leads, marketing clients and agency partner leads. You should demonstrate a keen analytical data driven approach, combined with a more intuitive culturally aware ability to create insight driven strategies.

Role Detail

• Key responsibilities include:
• Take ownership of key campaign projects, leading and building strategic response to briefs across the client portfolio
• Work with internal business leads, as well as clients and agency partners
• Deploy OMD's strategic process and platform
• Develop relevant consumer, culture and brand insights to inform the communication and channel strategy
• Find innovative media opportunities
• Identify additional opportunities for key clients to demonstrate OMD's strategic value
• Developing and/or sharing thought leadership
• Pro-actively sharing new ideas or projects, bringing forward-thinking solutions to client challenges and helping clients grow
• Assist with identifying award-winning opportunities
• Champion OMD's strategic products
• Be an expert in the process and the platform/tools
• Help drive understanding and uptake across the agency
• Keep on top of consumer and media trends including key trends, regulatory changes, and digital innovations that shape the media landscape.
• Help upskill & mentor more junior strategy members. Conduct training initiatives and industry updates to enhance the team's expertise.
• Be a key contributor to pitch processes, providing strategic insights and solutions that drives new business acquisitions.

Experience & Capabilities

• 6+ years in media agencies. Including within a strategy & insights role
• A proven track record of leading strategic initiatives
• Strong collaboration skills – working with different client teams, agency and partner stakeholders to gain alignment around a focused strategic approach
• Solid understanding of the media landscape to ensure strategies are implementable
• Open-minded and flexible in thought and tactics
• Strong quantitative & qualitative analytical skills
