
Procurement Support Associate

This role is ideal for an individual with a strong administrative background looking to transition into procurement. The successful candidate will support the procurement team in their daily operations, learning and understanding the various tasks involved.
Job Description:
The Procurement Support Associate will be responsible for assisting the procurement team in the following areas:
- Issuance of Purchase Orders: The candidate will learn to use the in-house procurement system to issue purchase orders, check inventory levels, and generate reports.
- Reconciliation of Delivery Orders and Invoices: The Procurement Support Associate will reconcile delivery orders with purchase orders and invoices, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Creation of Purchase Orders and Uploading Delivery Orders: The candidate will create purchase orders and upload delivery orders onto the in-house system.
- Collaboration with Colleagues: The Procurement Support Associate will work closely with colleagues to fulfill requests and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Verification of Subcontractor Billing: The candidate will verify subcontractor billing as required, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Liaison with Suppliers: The Procurement Support Associate will liaise with suppliers as needed, communicating effectively to resolve any issues.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, the candidate should possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Administrative Experience: A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in office administration is required.
- Procurement Knowledge: Although not necessary, knowledge of procurement procedures and systems would be advantageous.
- Diploma or Higher: A diploma or higher qualification is preferred.
- Microsoft Office 365 Proficiency: High proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel, is required.
- Analytical and Organizational Skills: Strong analytical and organizational skills are essential for success in this role.
- Effective Communication: Excellent communication skills are required to interact with colleagues, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving Ability: The Procurement Support Associate should be able to identify and resolve problems efficiently.
