Job details Pay: $3,500 - $4,500 a month Job type: Permanent, Full-time Overview Looking for a childcare cook / childcare cleaner for multiple childcare / preschool centres island wide. Indian Cuisine Chef experience in Pioneer Sector area is preferred. The role involves preparing and cooking meals, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and supervising kitchen staff to ensure health, hygiene and safety standards are followed. Responsibilities Quality check ingredients and prepared products to be used during service Prepare food using various appliances and equipment Prepare, cook, and present food effectively and efficiently, meeting the company operations manual and gold standards Ensure food is prepared in the right order while maintaining health, hygiene and safety standards Prepare and cook menu items such as dressings, sauces, appetizers, sides, and entrees Prepare ingredients to use in cooking; prep, wash, and chop meal components Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with standards and plating guide specifications of the outlet Inspect and ensure that the kitchen area is clean and orderly Plan and prepare weekly menus (breakfast, lunch and dinner) in consultation with the owner Ensure sufficient raw ingredients are stocked and well stored Maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene at all times Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment; cook food according to workstation responsibilities Plan and direct food preparations and culinary activities Handle customer requirements and complaint issues Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and other food preparation staff Ensure quality of meals, inspect supplies, equipment and areas for cleanliness Prepare and flip dough for Pratas; able to work in a Prata Shop Lead, mentor and manage the kitchen team Assist the main cook in food preparation (e.g., washing, cutting, marinating)Qualifications Experience preparing a variety of dishes and recipes Experience with Indian cuisine and ability to prepare chutneys (Tomato, Coconut, Onion, Green Chutney)Ability to work in a childcare/educational environment across multiple centres Strong organizational skills and ability to plan menus and kitchen workflows Ability to maintain high standards of health, hygiene and food safety #J-18808-Ljbffr
