Operations Technician / Senior Operations Technician Location: Singapore - Jurong Posted Date: Oct Operation technicians operate and maintain all equipment and facilities in their assigned area safely and efficiently. They work closely with team members and supervisors to ensure that all activities comply with safety, quality, and efficiency standards. Key Responsibilities Perform batch/unit or ancillary operations safely and efficiently following SOPs, leading technicians in unit operations when required. Conduct routine mechanical and lubrication checks and perform early maintenance and repair using hand tools. Handle and move materials safely using hand‐pallet trucks, reach trucks, or other equipment, following SOPs. Ensure batch and operating log sheets are correctly recorded and compliant. Follow Good Documentation Practices and ALCOA+ principles; manage document errors per established procedures. Communicate clearly with superintendents and colleagues; provide hand‐over at shift end, highlighting production status and any safety, quality or efficiency items. Assist with engineering‐related work during process runs, campaign changeover, or maintenance (e.g., filter changes, equipment replacement). Prepare plant and equipment for maintenance activities. Maintain housekeeping in assigned area to ensure a clean and safe work environment, including the proper condition of PPE, safety, and firefighting equipment. Perform firefighting/first‐aid duties as assigned and trained. Troubleshoot plant issues using appropriate problem‐solving tools to minimize stoppages and safety or quality incidents. Suggest improvement ideas and implement initiatives to support departmental objectives. Carry out other related duties as assigned by the superintendent, production leader, or senior technicians. Professional Skills, Knowledge & Experience Diploma in Chemical Process Technology, Chemical Technology, or Chemical Engineering. Minimum 2 years of experience in a pharmaceutical API plant. Experience in rotating shift work. Technical Skills Familiar with GMP, safety procedures, and troubleshooting skills. Basic awareness of industrial standards and knowledge of maintenance and operating principles of production and utility equipment. Plant inspection skills (in support of superintendent or deputy role, when needed). Knowledge of Permit‐to‐Work systems and Risk Assessment (in support of superintendent or deputy role, when needed). Correct documentation errors in accordance with existing procedures. Business Skills Good communication skills. Competencies Ability to work as a team. Problem‐solving skills.
