Key Responsibilities Production Scheduling & Optimization Develop daily/weekly production schedules for heavy machinery/equipment manufacturing Balance work orders vs. capacity across welding, machining, and assembly lines Prioritize rush orders and high-value projects Material & Inventory Control Coordinate with procurement on steel, castings, and specialized components availability Monitor WIP levels to prevent bottlenecks in large-scale fabrication Implement kanban systems for high-usage parts Cross-Functional Coordination Liaise With Engineering for BOM/routing validation QA for inspection hold resolutions Logistics for oversized/heavy component shipments Data‐Driven Planning Track OTD (On-Time Delivery) KPIs for heavy equipment orders Generate resource utilization reports (manpower, machine hours)Maintain ERP planning modules (e.g., SAP PP, Oracle)Continuous Improvement Lead SIOP (Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning) meetings Reduce lead times through process mapping of fabrication workflows Optimize shop floor layout for large component movement Qualifications & Skills Diploma/Degree in Industrial Engineering/Supply Chain 3+ years production planning in heavy manufacturing (construction/mining equipment, oil & gas, etc.)Proficient in ERP/MRP systems Advanced Excel (macros, pivot tables)Lean principles The Talent People 24C2589Seniority level Mid‐Senior level Employment type Full‐time Job function Management and Manufacturing Industries: Business Consulting and Services Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Talent People Development by 2x Other Similar Job Titles Assistant Manager, Demand & Supply Planning Manager, Logistics & Supply Chain Management Material Planner (1 Year Renewable Contract)Senior Manager, Logistics & Supply Chain Management Supply Chain Officer - Warehouse & Logistics (Contract)We're unlocking community knowledge in a new way.
