Job Title : Resident Engineer - IT Infrastructure
Roles & Responsibilities
Our organization seeks a highly skilled Resident Engineer to provide end-to-end IT infrastructure support. This role requires a well-rounded technical professional who can troubleshoot across different domains, ensure system uptime, and support ongoing IT operations.
Key Responsibilities include:

  • Provide on-site support for IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, and network equipment within the data centre environment.
  • Monitor system performance, carry out preventive maintenance, and ensure high availability of IT services.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner.
  • Support network operations, including configuration, patching, and basic firewall/security administration.
  • Assist in implementing and maintaining cybersecurity controls, including vulnerability management and incident response.
  • Document technical processes, incidents, and solutions to ensure operational consistency.
  • Liaise with vendors and service providers for hardware/software support and escalations.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • Diploma/Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 3–6 years of experience in IT infrastructure, data centre operations, or network/system administration.
  • Solid understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, routing/switching).
  • Hands-on experience with Windows/Linux servers and virtualization technologies.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity practices (endpoint security, patching, monitoring, incident response).
  • Certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent will be a strong advantage.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently.
