Job Purpose
Master Data Management is the core process to manage, centralize, organize, categorize, localize, synchronize, and enrich master data according to the operational strategies of the company. It manages and oversees the data source of information for SMRT’s inventories. Policy Management is the process of creating, implementing and maintaining policies and procedures within the organization. Effective policy management is to ensure that policies are reviewed and promulgated timely.
Responsibilities
The Executive/ Senior Executive’s roles and responsibilities encompass the following key areas:
Material Data Management
Manage Resource Library (Material Catalogue)
Develop learning resources for stakeholders
Conduct engagement with stakeholders to ensure they are kept abreast of latest guidelines
Utilize appropriate tools to encourage knowledge retention
Upkeep latest information in the intranet
Review the submission from stakeholders for material creations and amendments
Maintain the material catalogue database in SAP Material Management (MM)
Housekeep databases to remove duplicated, outdated or irrelevant information
Ensure data integrity and quality in the material catalogue database
Provide mentorship to cataloguers
Supply Chain Policy Management
To support the department in the formulation, implementation and administration of policies
Support, formulate and implement supply chain management policies, frameworks and processes, including material planning, warehouse operations, freight, distribution & transportation, repair management, safety, etc.
Ensure policies, frameworks and processes implementations meet the operations of the department while ensuring sufficient compliance & governance are in place
Administer and ensure review of the policies, frameworks and processes are up to date and in alignment to Company and/or relevant regulations
Advise relevant stakeholders, including business units on the relevant policies to enhance overall efficiency in the Company’s practices and processes
Leverage on data to maintain oversight and use appropriate approaches to formulate policies, frameworks and processes
Operational and Metric Performance Monitoring
Perform Data Analysis
Identify anomaly of data, and conduct data mining activities to identify trends, patterns and correlations
Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports on data from logistics, planning and material data teams
Develop dashboards to gain real-time insights, provide data visualization to help stakeholders better understand the data and trending
Work with stakeholders to develop tracking mechanisms
Develop plans, policies and procedures to improve performance
Recommend and employ ways to eliminate gaps and weaknesses in current operations
Implement innovative solutions that address internal customer’s needs
Streamline processes to improve productivity and efficiency
Work with colleagues at the organizational level to develop innovative solutions for driving change e.g. KAIZEN initiatives
Others
Any other additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor
Qualifications & Work Experience
Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or relevant field
Experience in SAP MM module
Knowledge of IBM Maximo system will be an advantage
Proficient in MS Office 365
Knowledge of ISO standards
Proficient with Data Visualization tools
Knowledge of Logistics, Planning, Maintenance, Quality and Procurement function
Knowledge of spare parts supply source
Skills
Good in communication skills (written and verbal)
Good in critical thinking and analytical skills
Savvy in search engines (e.g. Google)
Able to quickly adapt and learn new skills
Ability to follow through task/project completion with minimum supervision
Process good judgement, consistency, and ability to achieve results with accuracy
Demonstrate resourcefulness and creativity when working on data manipulation with common and basic tools like excel, text editors
Ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively
