Overview Job title: Mechanical Supervisor (Maintenance)Reference ID: 36882Salary Range: 4,000 - 4,500 SGD Our Client is a waste management, recycling, and remediation company. This role is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and reliability of mechanical equipment and systems within a plant or facility. Responsibilities Coordinate and liaise with the plant commissioning team on the inspection, testing, and repair of equipment handled by the maintenance team. Plan, direct, and supervise maintenance activities, including contractors, ensuring adequate supply of materials to keep machines and equipment in optimal condition. Enforce quality and safety procedures and policies to maintain production reliability and operational efficiency. Promote best engineering practices through effective use of manpower and close coordination with other departments on plant matters. Assist the Mechanical Engineer in maintenance work planning, scheduling, and resource allocation. Assign tasks to team members, monitor progress, and ensure work quality and deadlines are met. Register, control, and maintain asset management records within the CMMS. Maintain adequate inventories of tools, supplies, and spare parts for equipment repair. Perform hands-on mechanical fitter duties (e.g., levelling, alignment, grinding, cutting, welding, lifting) as required. Act as a millwright to service, repair, and overhaul equipment such as pumps and blowers when necessary. Supervise and coordinate contractors for statutory equipment inspections, testing, and site activities involving piping, lifting, scaffolding, insulation, painting, and refractory work. Foster a proactive and collaborative maintenance team by working closely with employees, technical personnel, and contractors. Provide job training, guidance, and conduct MSRA (Method Statement & Risk Assessment) where necessary. Conduct site checks, dimension measurements, and provide input to engineers on improvement, modification, and investment plans, including manpower and equipment estimates. Support storekeeper activities such as stock preservation and inventory checks. Uphold workplace organization standards by conducting routine 5S at workshops, stores, and site work areas. Perform any other duties assigned to support plant operations. Demonstrate commitment to the company's rules by setting a strong safety example in daily routines. Adhere strictly to ethics and compliance standards, maintaining professional conduct at all times. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project). Hands-on experience with AutoCAD and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
