Job Title:

Storage Infrastructure Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
The Technology Division is accountable for ensuring the operational stability, regulatory compliance, and service reliability of its applications and critical infrastructure. This involves overseeing the operations, maintenance, and support of various technology systems, including storage solutions. The IT Infrastructure Department plays a crucial role in ensuring the resilience, security, and high-performance of BCS' technology infrastructure across multiple functions of service monitoring, incident management, and technical support.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of IT experience in administering Enterprise Storage (Hitachi Dell EMC, Networker) design, deployment and operations in a financial institution or MNC.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Good experience in enterprise backup solutions design and operations.
  • In-depth knowledge of security, risk, and compliance frameworks, particularly within the financial services industry.
  • Experience in bash, Powershell and other scripting for operational efficiency.
  • Experience in managing day-to-day operations of Enterprise IT infrastructure including the change management process, risk and impact assessment.
  • Experience in performing VM migration on databases like Oracle, MySQL, and MSSQL would be advantageous.
  • Ability to direct project design and planning activities for complex or large scale network infrastructure development projects.
  • Experience in dealing with vendors on technology and services.
  • Excellent ability to communicate technical and strategic information effectively across all organisational levels, fostering collaboration and alignment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and able to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-starter and possess a customer-oriented mindset.
  • Resilient, ability to multi-task and operate in a fast-paced environment.
