Overview Principal Regulatory Engineer Our Regulatory Engineering team thrives on the challenge of operating in a complex global environment. We ensure product compliance to global regulatory, market and customer requirements in all our target regions. We work across segments and functions to integrate policy relating to emissions, safety and the environment into products and solutions. As we align regulatory standards with our strategic plans, we work closely with regulatory bodies, as well as with industry and customer groups. Responsibilities Monitor and influence Southeast Asia & ANZ policy areas with a primary focus on Safety, electromagnetic compatibility, wireless, telecom, and product environmental compliance legislation & programs (including Market surveillance). Develop and communicate Dell's Southeast Asia & ANZ product compliance strategy; act as an Agency Relation Manager (ARM) with the region, and interface with regional and global teams. Engage with regulatory bodies and trade associations to obtain positive alignments with Dell short and long term vision. Collaborate with Dell functional teams (Trade compliance, Government affairs, Marketing, Sales, Distributors, etc.) to ensure timely product approval and market access in Southeast Asia & ANZ. Manage relationships with ODMs/Local Agents/Local Test Labs/Dell product engineering teams to achieve targeted product certification for Southeast Asia & ANZ market launches. Work with market surveillance and regulatory engineers to resolve Non-Conformities and prevent stop shipments. Drive Southeast Asia & ANZ regulatory process & governance framework to operationalize compliance programs. Support data security and environmental audits, and drive process improvements and efficiencies. Essential & Desirable Requirements Essential: Fluency in English and Chinese; graduate technical degree; exceptional organizational and communication skills; exceptional negotiation and interpersonal skills; ability to be flexible, innovative, and collaborative; track record of leading and influencing internal and external stakeholders for successful outcomes. Desirable: Engineering, Science, Chemical or related education; knowledge of Southeast Asia & ANZ product compliance, especially in Safety, EMC, Wireless, Telecom and Environmental legislation programs; experience in policy advocacy.
