Overview
The Head, AI Software Engineering, is a technical manager who oversees the development of HTxAI products and solutions to meet business needs. This role includes managing a team of software, AI, DevSecOps and QA engineers. The successful candidate must understand the business aspect of software product work, lead discussions with external partners (commercial and non-commercial), and be able to articulate the value of various solution options in layman terms to non-technical users.
The HTxAI Products team is committed to empowering our Home Team Department's flagship projects through the seamless integration of AI technologies. From identifying opportunities to delivery, launch, and continuous enhancement, HTxAI aims to push boundaries and set new standards in homeland security.
Responsibilities
Lead the software engineering, AI engineering, QA, and DevSecOps functions in a product team
Define engineering scope of work based on defined features and requirements and oversee the day-to-day development
Make technical decisions and advise the team on the technical architecture and software development approach to use, considering trade-offs between the approaches and mitigating known drawbacks
